Lauren created TfL’s data function formally in 2012 and as Chief Data Officer heads up the team tasked with understanding customer travel behaviour, and providing the analytics tools, products and services to operate and plan London’s transport network – with the aim of translating that vast amount of data into intelligence to drive improvement.
She was named UK Chief Data Officer of the year in 2017 and has been honoured in The Female Lead’s 20 role models in data and technology.
Lauren will discuss how she’s leads and builds TfL’s data strategy, and about leading TfL’s approach to using AI responsibly to unlock value as the technology develops, as well as what making sense of millions upon millions of bits of information looks like on a daily basis.
