Making the case for EDI and proving its impact on business performance
What: Former footballer Okafor joined anti-discrimination group Kick It Out last June from the banking industry, where he held key leadership roles, most recently as an Executive Director at Coutts. He was also a driving force in advancing the the diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda at NatWest Group, where he served for over two decades, notably co-leading the Group’s Racial Equality Taskforce.
Why: Part of Leaders’ rewired Be the Lead initiative, Okafor will be joining a conversation examining EDI and its impact on business performance – touching on of-the-moment issues in the space; proving the value of diversity, better reflecting communities – and bringing what he’s learnt during his career in financial services to the football industry.
