The venture capitalist with a track record in spotting an investment
What: Sir Michael Moritz is widely considered one of the world’s most savvy and successful venture capitalists, becoming a multi-billionaire via a series of early investments in the likes of Apple, Google, PayPal, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Airbnb. He spent 38 years running Sequoia Capital and now focuses on wealth management fund Sequoia Heritage. He is also the major investor in Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and the T100 Triathlon World Tour.
Why: There are few, if any, better placed to put the current wave of institutional and private equity investment in sport into wider context. He’ll share some of how he spots an investment opportunity, and offer his expert view on the current macro economic picture – and, with his direct triathlon experience, the likely implications for sport.
