These partnerships have helped establish SailGP’s position as one of the fastest growing global sports organisations, and underpin the robust commercial model that Charlie developed for the business.
Before joining SailGP, Charlie built a strong foundation in commercial and business strategy across the sports industry. He began his career as a strategy consultant at Accenture before moving to Portas Consulting, where he advised top-tier sports organizations on optimizing commercial outcomes and shaping strategic initiatives. His expertise culminated in his role with the ICC, where he played a pivotal role in developing the strategy for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
Charlie’s academic achievements include an MPhil from Cambridge University and a top-ranked finish in the 2016 ESA Diploma program. His commitment to leadership and excellence in the field is recognized across the industry, and he actively engages in initiatives aimed at elevating SailGP’s profile as a top-tier rights holder.
