Managing Director and Co-founder, A&W Capital, an international, investment bank specialising in sport, gaming and media.
Paroksh was born in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He did an engineering degree at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur and then his MBA at IIM Ahmedabad – one of the leading business schools in India.
He trained as an Investment Banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch before spending seven years at the global investment firm KKR in Mumbai. He joined the Mumbai office of A&W Capital in June 2020 – just as Covid hit hard.
In the five years since he has transformed A&W into an international business operating globally and played a central role in the development of the Indian sports and gaming market (both video gaming and casual/real money gaming and fantasy), attracting domestic and overseas investment.
Since Paroksh joined, A&W Capital has completed 25 transactions/projects around the world with a total aggregate value of almost $3bn.
Highlights in India include IPL transactions with the Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, raising funding for Procam, the leading mass participation/marathon business in the country and also for Rooter, India’s largest gaming and esports content platform.
Internationally he recently worked with RP Sanjiv Goenka Group to acquire the Manchester franchise in the Hundred, advised Charterhouse on its acquisition of Two Circles and worked with Rise, the leading independent sports marketing agency in Saudia Arabia on its sale to Elevate, the West Coast-headquartered, global sports agency.
In video gaming he is leading the A&W team appointed as commercial advisers to the ICC as it looks to license out the rights for a global cricket game.
