The WTA and Hologic entered into a landmark partnership with a transformative goal: to redefine the global standard for preventive care in women’s sports. With a focus on prioritizing comprehensive, proactive health screenings for elite athletes, the partnership aimed to elevate women’s health on and off the court, enhance the well-being and longevity of players’ careers, and inspire a global community of women and fans to take control of their health.

Historically, women’s sports medicine has been reactive, often overlooking the broader spectrum of women’s health needs beyond injury recovery, and on court performance. Recognizing this gap, the WTA and Hologic launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to develop a holistic preventive care model tailored specifically to female athletes. This approach includes screenings for breast and heart health, fertility, pelvic wellness, mental health, and more—setting a new benchmark in women’s sports.

The partnership is not limited to athlete care. It also engages fans and the public through major global campaigns that reinforce the importance of prevention. Notably, Hologic helped launch the WTA Foundation’s Global Women’s Health Fund, providing prenatal vitamins to over 1.54 million women in low- and middle-income countries. The fund has secured $3.88 million in commitments—including a catalytic $1.5 million investment from Hologic—positioning the brand as a global force in maternal health equity.

In parallel, ACEing Cancer by Hologic uses the power of sport to raise funds and awareness for women’s cancer research. From survivor-led clinics in Riyadh to player-driven awareness during the WTA Finals, and research donations during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the campaign elevates the urgency of early detection and support for women facing cancer.

All these efforts form a multi-tiered global movement: inspiring individual action, delivering measurable health interventions, and reshaping the standard of care for women worldwide.
