More about Leaders Meet DiversityLeaders in Sport and The Football Association (The FA) have agreed a new partnership that will see The FA become the latest Supporter of the Leaders Meet Diversity Series. The FA is a major stakeholder in the sports ecosystem and plays a vital role in catalysing the future of a more diverse sports industry through its initiatives and national projects.
The Leaders Meet Diversity Series provides executives with a platform to champion inclusion and create change within their organisations, teams, and individual roles. The mission is to drive the future of a more inclusive sports industry. To achieve this the series hosts inspirational events, publishes free-to-access content, shares educational resources from inside and outside of sport, and facilitates meaningful connections within the community of sports industry leaders.
Laura McQueen, Leaders in Sport’s Managing Director, commented: “We’re delighted to announce The Football Association as a Supporter of the Leaders Meet Diversity Series. The FA plays a crucial role in ensuring everyone has the opportunity to be involved in football at all levels and affecting the future of the sport by diversifying leaders in key decision-making roles. Through this partnership, we aim to catalyse meaningful change, empower individuals, and inspire collective action towards a more equitable future for all.”
FA Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Director Yasir Mirza said: “The Leaders Meet Diversity Series aligns perfectly with our commitment to making the football industry more diverse and welcoming for all. As our nation’s favourite sport, we know football has the power to break down barriers and unite communities, and to ultimately drive meaningful change. We’re delighted to support the Series as we look to connect with talent across sport and to also ensure that opportunities within our own organisation are accessible and visible to talented people from historically underrepresented groups.”
