Valencia CF has been actively engaging the community in various social projects and initiatives over the years. The 3 main platforms of our community work – the Foundation, the Academy, and the Club itself, each serves a specific focus and are closely coordinated to reach more segments of the society and mobilize more people in our VCF family for all actions.
Through the Foundation, the charity and social arm of the club, the objective is to reach out to organizations and people in need directly. Amongst many charity projects headed by our VCF Foundation, we can boast the Cor Blanquinegre project, helping to take many children off the streets and give them a healthy pursuit. We also support an A-Ball football team for wheelchair users and a local team for people with intellectual disabilities: VCF Inclusivo. Moreover, the VCF Academy has integrated formative level women’s football into its structure, providing better resources and more assistance for their development.

In the Academy, we believe in inculcating the values of community responsibility in all our youths, who are the next generation of helping hands and also community leaders who can make a positive difference. Indeed, the Academy’s support for local animal shelters, food donations, care for the physically disabled have been very well received by local groups and authorities, as well as the parents and families. We have other upcoming projects, including beach cleaning, promoting local arts and culture and more. As a family of more than 400 players and 100 staff, the Academy´s presence and efforts in the community are significant.
In the Club and First Team, the star power of the first team players as well as the brand name of the club is a key asset to draw more support and boast inclusion, and also to raise awareness in key issues. The players also regularly visit local hospitals to bring some cheer to the patients and participate in surprise appearances or phone calls to fans in noteworthy social situations. The gifting of hospital robes designed like the VCF jerseys were also well received by many hospital patients.
