Here at Leaders, we utilise our position at the heart of the sports industry to help drive change. Marking our 10 year anniversary, with this year’s overarching theme ‘Turning Point’
As we now move into a new chapter for the Leaders: Diversity Series, at a time where the sports industry is now being held to increased accountability and action, to leverage its reach to move the industry forward, in equitable policies, inclusive practices and diverse outcomes.
This year’s Diversity Forum, part of Leaders Week London will look to showcase and bring to light a passing of the torch as we reflect upon how far the industry has come, existing frameworks, progress being felt and a showcasing to what the future should hold and the necessary actionable steps to get there.
Therefore we would like to introduce the forum as the ‘Turning Point’, consisting of three themes:
The Past – Speaking the legacy pieces which currently stand, and how these have paved the way to bring about change, and shape a new narrative.
The Present – Demonstrating the turning point that we’re now at, and how this has moved the sports industry to now move with intention in building a more diverse & equitable industry for all. How have alliances, and partnerships enabled progress, and what is still to be achieved with the support of neighboring industries and integrated business allyship.
The Future – How to now move forward and set about the new building blocks for a legacy that builds new stories, identifies tomorrow’s hero’s and demonstrates a roadmap for maintained momentum and renewed hope.
Format of day
40-minute panels with Q&A, built around the overarching theme of ‘The Turning point’, split across the viewpoint of the past, future and present.
Open spaces/Soultion Sessions – This part of the event programme will feature our purpose-built facilitated workshops that provide communal touchpoints for our community members, to build actional takeaways from the day, geared towards creating solutions and leading with action.
The venue will be split into two sections, creating a ‘Reflection Zone’ & and an ‘Action Zone’
Reflection Zone – Will be on-stage content, presentations, panels, and conversations
Action Zone – This will be dedicated to organisations/partners to showcase projects, initiatives, and campaigns, in an interactive and immersive manner
