450 entries. 100 judges. 31 countries. 5 categories. 1 shortlist.
With over 450 entries submitted by a wide range of companies from across 31 countries during a 9month process, Leaders is today pleased to reveal the final 25 companies to be shortlisted for this year’s Leaders Sports Awards.
The entries were reviewed by an expert panel of over 100 senior industry executives from international organisations including the BBC, FIFA, Heineken, Sky, McLaren, Premier League, Paris Saint Germain FC, Arsenal FC, Formula 1, BT Sport, PUMA, Etihad Airways and many more. This was part of a rigorous judging process that was overseen by integrity partners Northridge Law.
The Leaders Sports Awards categories for 2019 are: Content Creation, Innovation, Live Experience, On Screen Experience and Sponsorship.
James Worrall, Founder & CEO said: “Congratulations to all those shortlisted. We had a record year for entries, and the quality of those entries showcased the strength of sport across the globe. The judging was particularly tough. This year’s shortlist is a masterclass of innovation and creativity within the industry and we’re looking forward to a great night announcing the winners in October during Leaders Week.”
The winners will be announced at the Leaders Sports Awards on 9 October, at London’s Natural History Museum, immediately after the 2019 Leaders Sport Business Summit, which takes place on 8 and 9 October.
In addition to the companies, the Leaders Under 40 Class of 2019 will also be recognised on the evening in October. Leaders will announce the Class of 2019 on Thursday 1 August.
