Wednesday 28 April: Shaping the fan experience through data and insights

On the latest edition of Leaders Live – our new, monthly, live-streamed topical sports business discussion show – experts from the Chicago Bulls, Formula E and Infront X joined us to discuss the use of data to enhance the fan experience.

Kevin Brilliant, Business Strategy and Insights Director and behavioural science expert at the Chicago Bulls joined us on the show to outline the type of data sports organisations should be focusing on and how they should use it to shape the overall experience. Meanwhile, Formula E’s Insights and Analytics Director Anna Semens brought a data science perspective, explaining how the electric motorsport series makes sense of the numbers and uses feedback it receives to inform strategy.

Elsewhere, Sports Business Journal’s Ben Fischer ran through the business storylines to watch at this week’s NFL Draft, we discussed the fallout from the collapse of the Super League project and the potential of the International Olympic Committee’s virtual sports series, and marked the launch of Infront X with Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer Phil Sharpe.

Hosted by Leaders Head of Content, David Cushnan and Editor-at-Large, James Emmett on 28 April 2021. The next edition will be broadcast live on LinkedIn and Twitter on 30 June, at 15.00 BST.
